what we believe
God
It’s been said that man’s ultimate purpose is “to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.” We enthusiastically agree! We want to see God and stand in awe. Getting captured by the beauty and majesty of God is what we consider to be the bottom line of Christianity.
Bible
The most amazing book ever put together. In it, God talks with us about the most crucial issues of life, beginning with who He is and what He has done through Jesus Christ. His Word also imparts to us divine perspective that we can’t get anywhere else. It shows us the way God thinks and points our lives toward that which will bring Him the greatest glory and bring us the greatest joy and satisfaction.
Gospel
There has never been a piece of news that was so powerful, crushing, liberating, and mind-blowing as the gospel. In short, the good news of the gospel is that Jesus came to die in the place of sinners, to satisfy God’s wrath, and to bring all who would believe in Him into never-ending fellowship with the God who made us and loves us! That is something we need to hear and believe before we even get started on the Christian journey. But, more than that, it is the life-changing message that should be rehearsed every day of our lives.
Church
The Church is the most vital institution in all the world and in all of history. It’s that entity against which, as Jesus said, “the gates of hell will not prevail." The Church is the sort of UPS guy for the purposes of God. All of His purposes hit the pavement through the working of the Church, which has a universal as well as a local expression. Universally, the Church incorporates every person who savingly believes the gospel. But locally, the Church is a group of people in a specific location that come together to learn about and experience God, minister to each other, and reach outside of themselves to live and speak in a way that draws others into a relationship with God. We really believe that the happiest people in the world are those who are committed to and involved in a vibrant local Church.
